Beason Finds Speed and the Podium in his 410 Debut
For the first time in his career, Jonathon Beason jumped behind the wheel of a 410 on Friday and ended the night on the podium. Wheeling the #14 car owned by Jody Rosenboom Racing, Beason surprised the field with a fantastic showing in his debut in a 410, including going QuickTime and setting a new track record in qualifying at 11.606. Starting 4th in his heat race, Beason moved up to 2nd, which was good enough to give him the pole in the Honest Abe Roofing A-feature. Beason parked the JJR #14 car on the podium with a 3rd place finish, right behind Tanner Thorson (1st) and Blake Hahn (2nd).
