Ready to Get Back Behind the Wheel

After a very disappointing season last year, both on and off the track, Devin is looking forward to a new beginning. Even with several rain outs and 3 nights of equipment failures,he finished last year with 2 wins and ended up second in points at English Creek Speedway. Although that was a pretty good accomplishment after an emotional season, Devin still manages to look ahead after the death of his number one fan-Grandma Judy Wignall. "She would have wanted me to continue racing because that is what I love to do."

Devin kicked off the 2011 racing season at Newton Kart Klub in Newton, Iowa. This marked Devin's third trip to NKK and at the end of the night he was able to pull the 21 machine in victory lane for the second time in three starts at the speedway. "We had a different Avenger Chassis, a new TRR Racing Engines Box Stock power plant, and it was the first time on the Hoosier treaded tires. It was good to get back behind the wheel, but i think the treaded tires are going to take some time to get use to." Devin said.

Devin and his team take to English Creek Speedway Friday night for his rookie season in the box stock class. Devin would like to thank Stew Hansen Dodge Jeep Chrysler Ram, Central Iowa Pool ans Spa, Premiere Bowling and Entertainment, Morris Automotive, Wynn's, Podium Ink, Rod End Supply, Ultra-shield, Hoosier Tire, TMAC, Bell, Tim and Gina Doogs, Dake Law Office, TRR Racing Engines, Battles Racing and Kart Supply, Tony Soprano,Driver Websites, Grandma and Grandpa, and Mom and Dad. Without you I would not be able to live my dream!
