Devin Wignall Racing 2014 Season in Review
2014 would be a very short, but very successful season. The first race would be at the famed Knoxville Raceway. Knoxville put together a really neat race track that used turn four and connected it with the push off area. After picking up the win in the heat race, Devin would the A-Main front row outside where he would get the jump on the start and go on to lead every lap of the race and put the 21 Monte Motorsports powered Avenger in the famed Knoxville Raceway victory lane. "What a cool feeling to be standing here in victory lane at Knoxville Raceway! I have been coming here since I was two years old, my Dad and my Grandpa have both stood here before as crew members, but this is very cool to have all three of us here together." The win would put Devin in the history books for winning the inaugural Outlaw Dirt Kart Box Stock race at Knoxville Raceway.
Next up on the schedule was the 2014 Oultaw Dirt Kart Nationals. The Devin Wignall Racing Team would close out night number one with the sixth highest points of the evening. The redraw left Devin with the number two pill in the hat and he would start and finish in P2 and line up front row outside for the A-Main. Devin would take the lead on lap six and never look back to record his third Outlaw Dirt Kart Nationals win. "It was great to be able to pull off another great win! We had Joe and Wes here from TiLube supporting us and cheering us on. It felt really good to be able to win my very last Outlaw Dirt Kart race for all of my sponsors, family and friends. We will see what the future holds for us. I am really excited for it."
