Bryce Norris uninjured in violent wreck at Angell Park
A tripleheader weekend with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint Series took Bryce Norris north to Wisconsin, kicking off with Friday’s MTS Summer Sizzler at Mississippi Thunder Speedway.
After finishing second in his heat race, Norris was collected in a lap-13 incident that damaged the nose wing on his No. 37 entry. Despite the setback, he held on to finish 13th in the 25-lap feature.
On Saturday at Beaver Dam Raceway for the Dirt Showdown, Norris impressed with a fourth-to-first charge in his heat race, followed by a fourth-place result in the dash. He ran inside the top five during the feature until contact with another competitor led to a flat tire, relegating him to a 20th-place finish.
Sunday's finale at Angell Park Speedway added to the weekend’s string of misfortune. Despite wrestling the car to a third-place finish in his heat without power steering, Norris struck a hole on the opening lap of the feature and flipped violently. Fortunately, he emerged from the crash uninjured.
