Herrington rallies for second-place finish in Gene Maine Memorial at Needmore

Back in his family-owned No. 14 ride on Saturday evening, Wil Herrington joined the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series at Needmore Speedway (Norman Park, Ga.) for the sixth-annual Gene Maine Memorial.

Putting down the second-quickest lap in qualifying, Herrington started shotgun on the field and led briefly before spinning on a restart. Wil rebounded and made his way back to the runner-up position and finished second behind Jordy Nipper.
