Pair of top-10's at Shelby County and Stuart
After an impressive debut in the 39th Chili Bowl Nationals, Cole Vanderheiden returned to regional action over the weekend, collecting a pair of top-10 finishes in Iowa.
On Saturday night, the Papillion, Nebraska native unloaded his BradCo Companies No. 15V machine at Shelby County Speedway for the Igloo 25 Night. The Papillion, Nebraska native went seventh-to-third in his heat race before reeling in a top-five outing in the feature. He posted a fifth-place finish, chasing Jake Greenwood, Lee Goos Jr., Trevor Smith, and Monty Ferriera to the checkers.
Vanderheiden was back at it on Sunday, this time behind the wheel of the Zach Davis Racing No. 3Z Sprint Car with the Malvern Bank 360 Sprint Invaders at Stuart Speedway. After finishing fourth in his heat, he was tasked with starting deep in the field for the 30-lap feature. Unfazed, Vanderheiden delivered another solid outing, advancing seven spots to finish seventh.
