Cole Vanderheiden Celebrates Fourth of July with First Win of 2025
Emerges Late to Capture Checkers at US 30 Speedway
PAPILLION, Neb. (07/08/25) – Cole Vanderheiden capped off his Fourth of July weekend with a celebration of his own, claiming his first victory of the 2025 season during Sunday’s Sunday Funday event at US 30 Speedway. He earned a $1,000 payday behind the wheel of his BradCo Companies / Torqued Automotive / Gina V Physical Therapy No. 15V Sprint Car.
The Papillion, Nebraska native led the final six laps to secure the win and wrap up a strong weekend that began Saturday at Eagle Raceway, where he charged from 10th to a runner-up finish in the feature.
“It feels great to be up here,” Vanderheiden said. “We’ve had a lot of speed all year, but just hadn’t been able to put a full night together. Nights like these make all the long hours in the shop totally worth it. I can’t thank my parents enough for everything they do for me, and I’m grateful to all of my marketing partners. This is a total team effort, and I couldn’t do it without everyone’s support.”
Vanderheiden’s weekend kicked off Saturday at Nebraska’s Eagle Raceway, where he quickly set the tone for the next two nights. After gaining four positions to finish second in his heat race, he started 10th in the 20-lap feature and charged forward eight spots to match his heat result with a second-place effort.
Traveling roughly 100 miles northeast to US 30 Speedway on Sunday, Vanderheiden built on his Saturday success. After finishing third in his heat and fourth in the Top 8 Dash, he started the feature from the outside of row two. Rather than rushing to the front, he bided his time, sizing up the leaders before pouncing on lap 15. He sailed ahead of race-long leader Jason Danley and drove away to claim his first win of the 2025 campaign.

Vanderheiden is set for a busy weekend with three consecutive nights of racing across Kansas, Nebraska, and South Dakota. The tripleheader kicks off Friday at Lakeside Speedway (KS), continues Saturday at Eagle Raceway (NE), and wraps up Sunday at Huset’s Speedway (SD).
