Gavin Cowan finishes 2024 season at Gateway Dirt Nationals
Making his first visit to the Gateway Dirt Nationals, Gavin Cowan rolled into The Dome at America's Center (St. Louis, Mo.) on Friday afternoon for his preliminary night.
Laying down the seventh-quickest lap in his qualifying group, Cowan finsihed third in his heat race which placed him on the pole of a B-Main. While battling for the lead, Gavin got caught up in a wreck and did not finish.
Buried in a non-qualifier on Saturday, Gavin charged to the victory which put him in a qualifier race. Once again charging forward, Cowan finished fourth which placed him in the Win and You're In race. Despite another valiant charge, Gavin came up a few spots short of making the $30,000 finale.
