Cowan Brothers Racing Kicks Off 2025 Season in Georgia

RINCON, Ga. (02/11/25) – Gavin Cowan picked up a pair of victories over the weekend with a clean sweep in the Crate Late Model portion of Winter Freeze XV at Screven Motor Speedway.

The pilot of the Supply Chain Management / Harco Construction / 780 Unlimited No. 19 Longhorn Chassis Late Model backed up a fourth-to-first run in Friday night’s feature with a flag-to-flag triumph in Saturday’s finale.

Cowan earned $3,000 in total from his two victories.

“Starting my season like this is incredible," Cowan remarked. "We dedicated a lot of time in the offseason to preparing the cars, and it feels great to see all that hard work pay off. Haiden also looked impressive—big things are ahead for Cowan Brothers Racing. Big thanks to my parents and everyone that helps on these cars, it’s been a total team effort.”

Accompanied by his brother Haiden, Gavin Cowan invaded Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.) over the weekend where the duo competed in the Winter Freeze XV at the third-mile clay oval.

With Gavin setting his sights on the 604 division while Haiden took part in the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series season opener, Gavin showed no signs of rust as he qualified second-fastest in his group in his first outing behind the wheel of his No. 19 Longhorn Chassis. Starting the feature in fourth, Gavin stormed into the lead on the second circuit and controlled the remaining distance of the 20-lapper to claim his first win of the season.

The Rincon, Georgia youngster parlayed his speed into Saturday night as he backed up the fast time honors with a flag-to-flag victory in the main event. He notched his second win in as many nights ahead of Caleb Gay, Cla Knight, Ben Faircloth, and Beckham Malone.

Haiden also enjoyed a strong season 2025 debut, finishing fourth in Friday's $5,000-to-win preliminary.

On Saturday, Haiden steered to a consistent 11th-place finish in the 50-lap Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series weekend finale.
