Bryce Andrews records sixth-place finish at Paragon Speedway

After nearly a month away from the cockpit, Bryce Andrews climbed back behind the wheel of his Don's Auto Parts & Machine Shop No. 17 Sprint Car over the weekend for a USAC AMSOIL Sprint Car National Championship opener.

The action kicked off Friday at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, where Andrews joined a stout field of 38 USAC competitors. Still shaking off some rust in the early going, he was relegated from his heat race into the Elliott’s Custom Trailers & Carts Semi-Feature. Battling for one of four transfer spots into the 30-lap main event, Andrews came up just short, finishing sixth—two positions shy of the cutoff.

Looking to rebound on Saturday at Paragon Speedway, the Wisconsin native found his rhythm early with a runner-up finish in his heat race to earn a direct transfer into the A-Main. Starting from the fourth row, Andrews delivered a steady and composed performance, crossing the line in sixth in the 40-lap feature.
