Ruggerio Claims $10,000 with Dominance at the Bridge 58!
Another ASS Touring Weekend, another Race at Natural Bridge Speedway, VA! The Bridge 58 was a tough race, requiring the drivers to put on their best performances. Not only for the Touring Drivers but also for our Mini All-stars.
In MyRacePass Hot Laps Billy Bleacher won the Double J Farms Award with a Lap Time of 15.591. He was followed in second by Points Leader Tyler Arrington with a 15.667. The remaining Top Five was as follows: Walker Arthur, 15.670, in third, Ethan Wilson, 15.693, in fourth and John Ruggerio Jr, 15.729, in fifth.
BHR Qualifying saw Billy Bleacher set the fastest time of the Session again. His 15.505 also fast enough for the BHR Fast Time Award. Zach Sise and Ronnie Martin Jr. Thier times a 15.614 and a 15.649 respectively.
John Ruggerio would set the top time in Double Nickle Qualifying. His 15.612 not reachable for either Ethan Wilson in second, 15.671, or Joe Leavell in third, 15.685.
O'Reilly Auto Parts Heat 1 would see a familiar face at the top spot as Billy Bleacher uses his pole advantage to win the race. Behind him advancing would be Ronnie Martin Jr., Colby Quick and Ryan Smith, second to fourth in that order.
In Outside Groove Heat 2 the pole Advantage would show again, as Zach Sise wins. He was not catch-able for the competition. Advancing with him would Tyler Bare in second, Tyler Arrington third and Samual Bryant in forth.
Another pole, another victory in PPM Racing Products Heat 3. This Time John Ruggerio Jr would lead start to finish and secure the outside pole. Also going to the A feature would Justin Williams, Joe Leavell and Corey Almond.
American Racer Heat 4 would also see pole-sitter finish the race in first. Ethan Wilson claims victory, not leaving fellow competitors a chance. Arthur Walker and Logan Roberson came in second and third. Kendall Tucker would claim the final advancing spot.
DirtRichTV B Feature 1 would see the first race somebody won that didn't start on the pole. Josh Dietz won from third and secured a spot in the feature. Also taking their last chance to advance would Shawn Walker in second and Carder Miller in third.
The Gasko B Feature 2 would see a comeback of the pole advantage. Bailie Lowe claims victory and a place in the feature with that. Kyle Hardy and Dalton Jacobs would finish in second and third to be the last cars advancing.
Provisionals would be granted to Keaton Smith and Joshua Chesney, but because of problems with his car, Joshua Chesney was unable to start. That meant Matthew Porter would be next in line for a provisional.
That brings us to the A Feature, The Bridge 58. 58 Laps of Racing, which would turn out to be more a marathon than a sprint. The first one to come to the checkered flag was John Ruggerio Jr. He was flying all race after a great start on the outside pole put him in first, none of the 10 cautions got the competition close for an overtake, as he left everyone behind at every restart.
The top ten was as follows: John Ruggerio Jr., Justin Williams, Tyler Arrington, Logan Roberson, Ethan Wilson, Corey Almond, Kyle Hardy, Tyler Bare, Kendall Tucker and Bailie Lowe.
As always, we did have our Mini-Allstars running with us this weekend. Two Heats and a feature for our young talents
