Backing it up
What can you say about a dream season for Frank Galusha. Always a threat to win at any race track, but lately, he is the threat. After a huge win in IL, fast Frank backs it up with complete, utter, and total domination of the John Hinck Championship race at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex. $7 G’s to the victor who celebrated with champagne and some other “G’s”. As with many teams, it’s a family accomplishment, and victory lane was graced by many; Ronnie G, Jake, Bill, and others who continue to work harder than ever to make the STALLARD SST what it has become. Congrats everyone.
Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway was the sight of another Stallard SST making headlines. Dan Souder, with the aid of Mark Stallard and father Greg, made a last corner pass that brought the house to their feet. In just his second start of the season, Dan Souder survived a thrilling duel to win the 600 Sprint main event. "Jarid and I are great friends," said Souder, who lives near Quakertown, Pa., in victory lane. It's great to be able to race a good friend for the win like that, and then we hugged it out afterward. I sat out the beginning of the season due to a concussion I suffered late last season; that's why I haven't been here until the past couple of weeks. So this feels really good...it's sweet to win in just my second race back here."
Another STALLARD SST notching the win column is one driven by Jayce Jenkins. Wing or no wing this fella has a handle on Brooklyn Raceway. The weekend marked the third win in a row for the family operated #33 team at this facility.
And yet another STALLARD SST graced the winners circle with Nate Johnson behind the wheel. Racing a full field of wingless cars at KAM Raceway, Nate started in the sixth position and set-up a drag race pass for the win at the stripe. This was Nate’s first ever career win and we are extremely excited to share that moment with him. This comes in what is only his second year racing micros.
Ashley Marqueling moved from adversity to trophy and conquered Baer Field Motorsports Park for a win with her STALLARD. After a tangle in the heat race which left a damaged wing and front end she battled back to stand atop the podium.
