Ty Giles scores Top-10 at Cochran Motor Speedway after hiatus
After crewing for Cody Overton most of the Spring, Ty Giles made his first appearance behind the wheel on Saturday afternoon at All-Tech Raceway (Lake City, Fla.) for the $10,000-to-win Harvey Jones Memorial.
Setting quicktime among the competitors in his qualifying group, Giles finished runner-up in his heat race and started fourth in the 50-lap main event. Ty unfortunately only made it two laps before he pulled off with mechanical issues.
Heading to Cochan (Ga.) Motor Speedway on Sunday for a Memorial Day weekend special, Giles started and finished seventh in the 25-lap feature.
