Joe Dooling and Bryan Clauson Announce 2nd Annual Racers For Autism Charity Event
Noblesville, IN - Joe Dooling, owner of the No. 63 Dooling Machine midget and sprint car, and Bryan Clauson, winner of the 2014 Chili Bowl and multi-time USAC Champion, are hosting the 2nd Annual Racers For Autism event on January 11, 2016, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to benefit the Autism Society of America.
The inaugural Racers For Autism event, which kicked off the 2015 Chili Bowl, was a huge success, raising over $40,000 for the Autism Society of America. Dooling and Clauson are both eager to expand the event and the planning for 2016 is well under way. The most notable addition to the Racers For Autism event is Curb Records recording artist Tim Dugger.
“I’m thrilled to bring back the Racers For Autism event for year two,” said Clauson. “Joe and I have worked hard to build on our successful first event and we are looking forward to making this year even bigger! The addition of Tim Dugger as our live entertainment certainly raises the bar. Tim is a huge race fan, so it’ll be a lot of fun exposing him to our world. I’m also excited to have my friend Ben back again this year. He was a big hit at the first event and is the driving force behind my involvement with the Autism Society of America.”
Clauson was inspired by close friend and high school classmate Ben Hodgin to host, and continue, the event. Hodgin was diagnosed with autism at the age of 5. His parents were given a bleak outlook for their son’s ability to develop communication skills and thrive as a young adult. However, Hodgin’s passion for racing aided him in developing at a young age and continues to play an important role in his life today.
“The Racers For Autism party was so cool,” said Hodgin. “One of my favorite things ever! I liked hanging out with BC, Ricky, Rico, and Kyle. It was awesome. I liked the live painter, Bill Patterson, too!”
The 2nd Annual Racers For Autism event will be held the Monday prior to the 2016 Chili Bowl, January 11, at Cain’s Ballroom in downtown Tulsa. The event, beginning at 7 p.m., local time, will feature BBQ, Beer, and live entertainment by Tim Dugger. There will also be a live and silent auction of racing memorabilia. Tickets for the event are $50 and can be purchased at www.RacersForAutism.org.
Donations for the live and silent auction are also welcomed. Items can be sent directly to Bryan Clauson Racing, Attn: Racers For Autism, 18648 Cyntheanne Road, Noblesville, IN, 46060.
