Early exit in Texas Dirt Nationals

Friday night found Billy Moyer Jr. in action at Texas Motor Speedway (Fort Worth, Texas) for the inaugural Texas Dirt Nationals. In a field of 33 Late Models, Billy followed up the fifth fastest lap in his time trial group with an eight-lap heat race victory. Starting the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature in second, Moyer Jr. got caught behind a tangle with five laps remaining that brought a disappointing end to his weekend. (Michael Boggs Photography)
