Brian Shirley opens up World of Outlaws season with 10th-place finish

Brian Shirley unloaded the Bob Cullen Racing No. 3S machine at Volusia Speedway Park (De Leon Springs, Fla.) on Friday afternoon after Thursday's season opener for the World of Outlaw Late Models was washed out.

With over 50 Late Models in the pit area, Shirley finished runner-up in his heat race and started the $12,000-to-win feature from the sixth-row and scored a Top-10 outing in 10th. Brian started 13th in Saturday's finale but faded to finish outside the Top-20.
