BLR posts trio of CARS Tour top-10 finishes at New River All-American
On Saturday, the opening night of the zMAX CARS Tour season featured a lineup of three strong Bryson Lopez Racing (BLR) drivers piloting the team's Chevrolet SS race cars. Each turned in a top-10 result in the 100-lap Pro Late Model portion of the National Dodge 225 at New River All-American Speedway in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
After some late-race chaos, Tyler Reif ultimately led the BLR contingent behind the wheel of his No. 47 Chevrolet. He qualified 11th on the 4/10 mile oval, then climbed six positions in the feature to finish fifth. He rounded out the top five behind Jade Avedisian, Tristan McKee, Isaac Kitzmiller and Ben Miller.
Meanwhile, Brandon Lopez started seventh in his No. 6 Atlanta Paving & Concrete Construction Chevrolet and finished in the eighth spot.
Driving the No. 31 Whelen Engineering Chevy, Brody Monahan turned in the best qualifying effort for BLR as he positioned himself on the outside of the front row. He hovered around the top five for most of the race but fell back late and came home 10th.
