Inside Line Promotions – ANTIOCH, Calif. (May 13, 2025) – Dominic Scelzi is heading to a pair of tracks where he’s enjoyed a lot of success.

Scelzi joins the NARC 410 Sprint Car Series on Friday at Ocean Speedway in Watsonville, Calif., during the Salute to First Responders before heading to Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif., on Saturday for the Morrie Williams Memorial Twin 20s.

He’s won at least one race at Thunderbowl Raceway each of the last four years and during three of the last four seasons at Ocean Speedway.

“I’m looking forward to both tracks and hopefully turning our results early in the night around,” he said. “We’ve struggled recently to have speed early in the night and it’s buried us.”

Scelzi climbed from mid-pack to a top-10 result each of the last two weekends.

On May 2 at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, Calif., Scelzi produced a run from 20th to 11th – tied for the most positions gained – in a winged sprint car and from 23rd to ninth in a non-wing sprint car to garner the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars. Scelzi maneuvered from 14th to 10th in his winged sprint car the following night.

Last Saturday, Scelzi qualified 14th quickest and placed sixth in a NARC 410 Sprint Car Series heat race at Antioch Speedway. He capped the night by hustling from 15th to eighth in the main event for his ninth top-10 outing of the season.

“We’re working hard to get better the first part of the night,” he said. “We haven’t been good when there’s grip in the track. We’re good when it’s slick, but too tight in the moisture. The last couple of weekends we passed cars and raced hard, but we have a lot of improvement to get back to where we expect to be.”
