Late Model Racing Western Australia
A FAREWELL TOUR?
Peter Seaton is one of the names that have been around Late Models for a long time.
He first hit the track in the 2010/11 season and has raced on and off since that time, a podium finish in the overall Winter Series standings in both 2012 and 2018, while his best Pro Dirt overall finish is twenty fourth.
Although not always behind the wheel, ‘Seato’ is at most events, more often than not crewing for good friend Jason Oldfield. That is something that should change this season as Seato jumps back into his immaculate #65 machine for a full crack in what he says may be his last ever time!
“I am planning to do all the Motorplex events at this stage,” he says, “And if funds are available, I’ll do the country events as well as this will probably be my last season racing!”
Over the years he has had multiple podium finishes in Winter Series feature events, and when it comes to the Pro Dirt Series, he has a best finish of seventh which came at the Late Model Nationals earlier this year when he raced through the field from position twenty three! He also has a fifth place to his name in a non-Pro Dirt, non-Winter Series Show at the Motorplex.
To ensure he is up to speed, Peter has continued to race the Winter Series, currently sitting third in the overall points.
“Over the off-season I have been getting some laps with the Winter Series teams so as to get up to speed!’ he says. “Hopefully this black front Rocket is up to the task, and with a reliable LS 6.2 engine that the late Geoff Henderson built for me, it should do the job.”
Sponsored by Peater Seaton Contracting and Lance’s Panel Paint, Seato is keen to hear from anyone else who wants to come on board for the ride this year as he chases some big goals.
“The hopes and dreams at this stage are for top ten overall finish for the year but we will see!”
Catch Seato and the rest of the Pro Dirt drivers at Ellenbrook Speedway on the 12th of October for Round One!
