ROOKIE STANDOUT IS READY!
Last seasons Rookie of the Year Abbey Pickering is right in the middle of getting ready for the new season.
Fourteenth in her first attempt at the Pro Dirt Series, a feature win and walking away with the Rookie of the Year trophy are massive achievements, but All About Racing’s Abbey isn’t content with that and has been working hard in the off season to give herself the best possible change of success for the 2024/25 Pro Dirt Series.
“In the off season we have stripped all the panels off the car and put new ones on, as well as replacing a lot of steering components like Spindles and tie rods” she says. “We have also done some minor repairs to the trailer!”
Abbey is set to contest the full Pro Dirt Series once again and also has a return to a Albany at Easter plus Kalgoorlie for the Red Dirt Rumble on the cards.
“Hopefully we can just stay out of trouble!” laughs Abbey when asked about her season goals. “But we do want to see if we can make it into the top ten for the series!”
Abbey is also looking forward to competing in the national titles for the first time, but is under no illusions as to how tough the season will be.
“It’s going to be a big season for sure! But it should be good one and I can’t wait!”
