Snyder strikes for redemption at Off Road Speedway

Stuart Snyder started on the pole of Saturday’s $2,000 to win event at the Off Road Speedway. He ended the event in The Energy Drink Victory Lane, but there was plenty of action and passes for the lead between the start and end. The win is his first with the Malvern Bank 360s and Gunderson Racing Midwest Sprint Touring Series in 2025.

Snyder and Dominic White brought the field to the initial start, with the three-time Malvern Bank 360 sprint series champion Snyder taking the initial lead. He would set the pace out front for the first seven laps – that is when Snyder missed the rubber on the bottom side of turn three as he tried to navigate traffic. It was the opening needed for Chase Brown – who had started fourth – to move into the top spot.

The tables turned as those competitors were again working traffic, this time it was lap 17 when Snyder returned the favor and put the Stephenson's Truck & RV Repair #23S back in position one.

John Klabunde was on the move – he had started in the third row and passed Brown for second and was quickly closing on Snyder when the caution waved for Evan Semerad. The incident collected Shayle Bade and sidelined her #03 after running in the top five for the duration of the event.

The caution waved again with just two laps to go when mechanical issues halted the night for Sam Henderson, the 2024 Gunderson Racing Midwest Sprint Touring Series 360 champion. Henderson had also been running in the top five after starting in row five.

Klabunde was able to pull alongside Snyder after the restart, but Snyder nailed the final lap to take the win. Klabunde was second with Brown third. Joey Danley charged from eighth to fourth while Chase Porter went from position ten to finish fifth.

Up next – the Gunderson Racing MSTS 360s and Malvern Bank 360s team up for a co-sanctioned event at Shelby County Speedway in Harlan, Iowa, on May 31.

For the Midwest Sprint Touring Series, the Cressman Sanitation 410s start their season May 18 at Huset’s. The 410 sprints will be at Off Road Speedway for the first time in track history on Aug. 23.

Snyder won the night’s dash. Heat races went to Brown, Klabunde and White.
