First 270 race ends with DNF

Matt's 270 debut got off to a good start but ended with a engine failure in the feature. In the heat race Matt would start 12th out of 12 and bring the car home a respectable 7th, which would give him a 13th starting spot in the feature. In the feature Matt worked his way to 10th by the 4th lap when a caution came out for a spinning car. On the restart the car broke a piston ring which had Matt way off the pace and then was collected by a spinning car, the same car that brought out the first caution ending Matt's night early. The engine will need to go back to the builder due to the severity of the damage. Unfortunatley Matt will miss the Aug. 14th race but will be back in the 270 on Aug. 21st. Hope to see everyone at the races !
