Opening Day 2012 !
Opening Day 2012 finally arrive and it was a good day for Matt & MCR Racing. Matt drew a terrible number for his heat race which had him start 10th ( Last ! I might have to start drawing numbers for him )in his heat race. He was only able to get to 7th on the dry, slick daytime surface which gave him a 21st starting spot in the feature event. After talking with teamate Todd Hoover we decided on some bold chassis adjustments. Todd's years of experience paid off big as Matt was able to work his way from 21st to 8th by the end of the race. Matt was able to pass more cars and advance further than anyone else in the race! While most cars were sliding up the track in the corners our adjustments allowed Matt to hold the car down and get decent bite off the corners. Big Thanks to Todd ! Also our new engine package that Todd built performed awesome. We will be back at Trailways this coming Saturday for another daytime race, Hope to see everyone at the track.
