Eighth-place finish in Spring Nationals stop at I-75 Raceway

With the tour in his home state of Tennessee, Jensen Ford joined the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals at I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Friday and Tazewell (Tenn.) Speedway on Saturday for a doubleheader weekend.

With a strong 40-car field on hand for night one, Ford stopped the clock fifth-quickest in time trials before he finished runner-up to Cory Hedgecock in his heat race. Jensen went on to land a Top-10 finish in eighth in the 53-lap, $10,053-to-win main event.

The following evening, Ford raced his way into the $21,000-to-win finale and recorded a 15th-place finish in the 75-lapper.
