Michael and Will Raber battle in Las Vegas

Michael had two tough races with fellow competitor Will Raber from Michigan. Michael and Will traded the lead several times in the Unrestricted Animal A Main but Michael's car got tight with 15 laps to go and he finished in the runner up position to Will. In Heavy World Formula Michael lead all 35 laps to take the victory over Will but things got interesting with 2 late yellow flags. Michael said, " My car was getting tight and started biking the last half of the race. When the yellow came out with 9 laps to go I knew I needed to cool my tires. When I took the white flag I thought I was home free but as I came off of turn 4 and saw the checkered flag, flagman Aaron Likens pulled it back and displayed the yellow. I knew Will would be right behind me on the restart and I could not make any errors." Michael had a good restart and brought his GT American home to victory lane.
