Malvern Bank 360 Sprints
Danely Shows the Way at Dawson County
15 Malvern Bank 360 Sprint Cars checked in to the Dawson County Raceway - Where Only The Best Go Three Abreast to compete for the $2,000 prize Sunday Night.
Series Points Leader Chase Porter of St. Joseph’s Missouri was the Deatherage Opticians Quick Time in Hotlaps. Heat Race Wins went to Shayle Bade of Lincoln, NE and Jason Danley of Lincoln, NE. There was no Dash Sunday so the top 6 in Passing Points after the 2 heats locked into the top 3 rows of the feature. Shayle Bade would start 6th and run the Lucky 6 Challenge paying $3,000 courtesy of Electrical Systems Inc.
Chase Porter would run away from the field early, with Joey Danley of Lincoln, NE trying to keep pace in 2nd. Bryant Wiedeman would make hay early jumping from 7th to 3rd in the first 8 laps. With 11 laps left Danley and Wiedeman would both close within a half straight-away of Porter who was marred in lap traffic when he clipped the tractor tire at the bottom of turn 1 sending him over the top berm and ending his night. Danley would inherit the lead and have a strong restart to pull away from Wiedeman and Zach Blurton of Quinter, KS. Things would stay single file till a caution was called with 5 laps to go for the nose wing of Cole Vanderheiden of Papillion, NE who was running 4th. Unfortunately for Vanderheiden, the missing front wing would end his night. On the final restart Danley would once again run away from the pack and pick up his first 360 win of the year. Wiedeman would come home 2nd, Zach Blurton 3rd, Chase Brown of Yutan, NE 4th, and Jason Danley 5th.
The win for Danley would be his 2nd career 360 win with the series. With the problems for Chase Porter and a strong run for Chase Brown, the points lead has flipped on its head as Brown will inherit a 2 point lead over Porter going into the series next race Friday, June 27 at Boone County Raceway,
