Tim Ward third in Saturday's Ernie Mincy Early Thaw

Back in the warmer weather of Arizona, Tim Ward unloaded his Finish Line Body & Paint No. 4TW Modified at Central Arizona Raceway (Casa Grande, Ariz.) on Thursday for the Ernie Mincy Early Thaw opener.

The three-day event kicked off with Ward following up a flag-to-flag victory in his heat race on Thursday with a ninth-to-seventh run in the feature.

On Friday, Tim came in second in his heat before rolling to a consistent seventh-place finish in the 20-lap A-Main.

For Saturday’s finale, Ward secured his spot into the show with a runner-up showing in his heat. Climbing six spots in the 30-lap affair, Tim stormed to a third-place finish, chasing Chaz Baca and Tom Berry Jr. across the line.
