Bagley nabs pair of top-10 finishes at Batesville
After weather thwarted his racing plans for more than a month, Morgan Bagley finally returned to the track over the weekend in the two-day COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) Bad Boy 98 at Batesville Motor Speedway. He posted two top-10 results in fields that featured more than 40 Super Late Models each night.
On Friday, Bagley qualified fifth quickest in his group on the 3/8-mile oval in Locust Grove, Arkansas. He drove his P&W Sales No. 14M Super Late Model to the runner-up result in his heat race, and rolled off from the sixth starting spot in the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win feature. He moved ahead two positions in the A-Main and finished fourth behind Tyler Stevens, Tony Jackson Jr. and Billy Moyer Sr. Jon Kirby rounded out the top five.
The next night, Bagley started the $12,000-to-win finale at Batesville with a 10th-place qualifying effort in his group. He then turned in a fourth-place result in his heat. He started the 68-lap main event from the 16th position and climbed nine positions to finish seventh.
After the Bad Boy 98 weekend, Bagley is third in the CCSDS standings.
