Kyle Hammer picks up Friday Night Lights victory at Farmer City Raceway
Set for a three-day race weekend, Kyle Hammer kicked off the festivities at Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway for the weekly Friday Night Lights show.
Finishing runner-up in his heat race, Hammer started fourth in the 20-lap main event and quickly took the top spot on lap three. Kyle led the remaining 18 circuits to score the $750 victory over Carson Friedman and Matthew Baker.
Competing with the MARS Championship Modified Series for the remainder of the weekend, Hammer unloaded at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway on Saturday night.
Kyle started fifth in the A-Main and was running inside the Top-10 before he tangled with another competitor that ended his night early. With too much damage to the car, Kyle decided to call it a weekend early.
