Erb seventh in Sunshine Nationals finale at Volusia Speedway Park
The 2025 Speedweeks brought Tyler Erb and the Best Performance Motorsports team to Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Fla.) over the weekend for the rain-shortened Sunshine Nationals.
With a stacked field of 57 World of Outlaws (WoO) Late Model Series entries in the pit area, Erb squeezed into Friday's opener with the final transfer spot in his heat race. With a $12,000 preliminary payday up for grabs, Tyler was an early retiree from the 35-lapper on lap 23.
On Saturday, Tyler topped his 10-car field in his heat race to secure the eight-lap victory. With the redraw placing him the second row for the $20,000-to-win Sunshine Nationals finale, Erb rolled to a seventh-place finish in the 50-lap affair.
