Terbo grabs podium finish in Dirt Late Model Dream preliminary
Tyler Erb’s Dirt Late Model Dream week kicked off Wednesday afternoon at the iconic Eldora Speedway, as the FloRacing Night in America miniseries hosted a midweek tune-up ahead of the prestigious event.
Sporting a special No. 01 wrap in tribute to Bo Duke from The Dukes of Hazzard film, Erb secured the final transfer spot in his consolation race to qualify for Wednesday’s preliminary feature. He was credited with a 22nd-place finish after retiring on lap 32 of the 50-lap main event.
On Thursday, during preliminary night for the Dream, Erb punched his ticket to the A-Main with a heat race victory. Rolling off fourth in the feature, the Texas native powered forward one position to claim a third-place finish, joining race winner Josh Rice and runner-up Bobby Pierce on the podium.
Returning to the famed half-mile on Saturday, Erb opened main event night with an impressive heat win, charging from third to first. However, his run in the 100-lap, $100,000-to-win finale was cut short on lap 90.
