Marlar scores pair of Modified victories at Port Royal Speedway; sixth-place outing in Rumble by the River
Mike Marlar pulled double duty at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway over the weekend as he piloted his familiar Skyline Motorsports No. 157 machine with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and also drove a Jerry Foster-owned UMP Modified with the Modified Mafia Tour.
Marlar kicked off the Rumble by the River doubleheader with a fifth-place outing in the $10,000-to-win Super Late Model opener before dominating the 20-lap, $2,000-to-win UMP Modified feature over Ray Kable and Spike Moore.
On Saturday, Mike started 11th in the $50,000-to-win finale and brought home a sixth-place finish with Lucas Dirt. Leading flag-to-flag once again in the Modified feature event, Marlar outdrove George Dixon and David Streme for the $2,500 payday.
