Fifth-place finish in WoO's Battle af the Crossroads finale at Swainsboro

A doubleheader weekend with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series brought Nick Hoffman and the Tye Twarog Racing team to Swainsboro (GA) Raceway on Friday for the Battle at the Crossroads.

After racing into Friday's dash with a heat race win, Hoffman rolled to a seventh-place finish in the 35-lap preliminary feature.

On Saturday, Nick got off to a slower start in time trials before going fifth-to-second in his heat race. Battling for the $15,000 top prize in the main event, Hoffman muscled forward three positions to register a fifth-place finish. He chased Ryan Gustin, Ashton Winger, Bobby Piece, and Drake Troutman to the checkers.

Nick is currently tied with Ryan Gustin for second in the latest World of Outlaws point standings.
