Groomer lands pair of podium finishes at Lincoln Park and Brownstown
Derek Grooomer rolled into Lincoln Park Speedway (Putnamville, Ind.) on Friday evening to compete in the DIRTcar UMP Modified division.
Groomer qualified quickest in his group and made up two spots in his heat race which put him on the pole in the 20-lap main event. Derek led the first five circuits before Derek Losh got around him while Groomer settled for a third-place finish.
Switching out his ride for the Super Late Model on Saturday, Groomer picked up a heat race win at Brownstown (Ind.) Speedway and drove to a runner-up finish in the 25-lap feature. He trailed Devin Gilpin while Steve Peeden completed the Top-3.
