Bad luck hits Dale McDowell at Dixie Speedway during Dixie Shootout

Dale McDowell was one of 33 Super Late Models at Dixie Speedway (Woodstock, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon for the co-sanctioned Southern All Stars and Southern National Series Dixie Shootout.

McDowell set quicktime and won his heat race which put him on the pole for the 53-lap, $10,053-to-win feature event. Dale ran second for the first eight circuits before he pulled in with a terminal mechanical issue.
