Mario Gresham races into $15,000 Independence Shootout at Senoia Raceway

For the holiday weekend, Mario Gresham followed the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series to Senoia (Ga.) Raceway on Saturday evening for the $15,000-to-win Independence Shootout.

Finishing seventh in his stacked heat race, Gresham nabbed the final transfer spot in his B-Main and made up six positions in the 50-lap main event to finish 16th.

Tacking on a Sunday show, Mario Gresham competed with the DIRTcar Summer Nationals at Duck River Raceway Park (Shelbyville, Tenn.), but did not make the $5,000-to-win main event after dealing with mechanical issues.

Gresham is now 13th in the overall point standings.
