14th-place finish with World of Outlaws at Smoky Mountain

Saturday night found Cory Hedgecock in action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) piloting his Eagle Racing Engines No. 23 Late Model for the ninth annual Tennessee Tipoff. Drawing a stout field of 51 World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series entries, Hedgecock laid down the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group before placing second in his heat behind Tim McCreadie. Starting the $12,000-to-win A-Main in 12th, Cory faded two spots in the 50-lap affair to finish 14th. (Josh James Artwork)
