11th-place finish in Thaw Brawl opener at La Salle Speedway

On Friday evening Kolby Vandenbergh invaded La Salle Speedway (LaSalle, Ill.) for the 10th annual Thaw Brawl. With 23 MARS Racing Series entries on hand for the two-day event, Kolby secured his spot into the opening night feature with a fourth-place finish in his heat. The following night, Vandenbergh pulled off early in his heat race with two laps remaining. Starting the $12,000-to-win Thaw Brawl in 15th, Kolby was an early retiree from the 60-lapper on lap 31.
