12th place finish in Slocum 50 at 34 Raceway

Kolby Vandenbergh was one of 41 Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association (MLRA) entries on hand at 34 Raceway (West Burlington, Iowa) on Friday afternoon for the Prelude to the Slocum. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Vandenbergh grabbed the fourth-and-final transfer spot in his heat race. The following night, Kolby came in fourth in his heat race, which positioned him 16th on the starting grid for the $10,555-to-win Slocum 50. Clawing forward four spots in the 50-lap affair, Vandenbergh recorded a 12th-place finish.
