Dillard records 10th-place finish in Dirt Late Model Dream prelim at Eldora Speedway

Cade Dillard unloaded his Joel's Auto Sales No. 97 machine at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) on Wednesday afternoon as over 80 Super Late Model drivers kicked off the 31st-annual Dream weekend at The Big E.

Dillard did not make the $20,000-to-win opener on Wednesday, but found speed in his preliminary night on Friday. Cade earned the final A-Main spot with a third-place finish in his B-Main and started 26th in the 50-lapper. Storming through the field, Dillard moved by 16 competitors to land a Top-10 finish in 10th.

Slated to start sixth in a heat race on Saturday, Cade was unable to make up any spots and fell back in his last chance race. Dillard finished 20th and did not start in the $100,000-to-win finale.
