Travis Denning Dominates Del Gade Memorial at Maquoketa Speedway
Illinois Racer Builds Momentum Ahead of Tripleheader Weekend
STERLING, Ill. (06/10/25) – Travis Denning turned a single start over the weekend into his second win of the season in Saturday’s Del Gade Memorial at Maquoketa Speedway.
Denning piloted his Petersen Insurance / K-Promotions No. 56D BMF Race Cars Late Model to the dominant win, crossing the finish line more than seven seconds ahead of the field at the quarter-mile oval located on the Jackson County Fairgrounds.
“The car was phenomenal,” Denning said in victory lane. “We’ve been fine-tuning it, but tonight it felt the best it has all season. I can’t thank everyone who works on the car enough, and I really appreciate the continued support from my sponsors. It means a lot—I couldn’t do this without them.”
Denning’s lone outing of the weekend began with a fourth-place finish in his heat race, securing a fifth-row starting position for the main event. He wasted little time charging toward the front, slicing through the field and overtaking third-starting Don Pataska on lap 10 to grab the lead. From there, the Sterling, Illinois native pulled away and led the final 15 laps uncontested, securing his second win of the season at Maquoketa Speedway.
Denning crossed the stripe with a sizable lead over runner-up Dalton Simonsen. Pataska, Chase Brunscheen, and Steve Johnson rounded out the top five.

Looking ahead, Denning is gearing up for a tripleheader weekend across Iowa and Illinois. The busy stretch begins Friday at Davenport Speedway, continues Saturday at Maquoketa Speedway, and wraps up Sunday at East Moline Speedway.
