Midwest Legends Dirt Series

Sullivan Wins in Style at 141

New Francis, WI (May 25th, 2025) - It may have only taken 330 days, but Ryan Sullivan showed he still had it in a legend, picking up his first Midwest Legends Dirt Series feature win of 2025. It may have been difficult, but Sullivan proved he had it, defending the top spot the entire feature.

Another twenty-nine car field headlined the night, with many of the drivers making the trip all the way from the previous night at Cedar Lake Speedway, a nearly four-hour drive.

Adam Zellmer led the Fall River Foundry qualifying session, with a time of 16.004. Dallas Ross and Ryan Sullivan were second and third, while Alex Haese and Hayden Schmuhl finished fourth and fifth.

Three N&S Towing heat races were next up onto the track. Heat one was picked up by Talyn Neuman while Zellmer finished in second. The third place battle was between Haese and Art Hahn, with Haese picking up the spot just at the line.

Heat two saw Ross and Michael Weber battle for the lead, with Ross picking up the win while Weber finished second fiddle. Keith Moline did a great job at holding down the last transfer spot.

The final heat of the night saw Ryan Mech hit his marks and pick up the heat race win. Rob Maule and Sullivan battled for the second place spot, with the Illinois native Maule getting the spot and relegating Sullivan down to third.

The final track action before the feature was the Fastline Design and Graphics B-main. Faith Zellmer-Schultz picked up the win with Mike Swenson, Dan Mech, Keith Carey, Cody Moline, and Oliver O’Brion all transferring to the feature a little later in the night.

With the night winding down, the feature pulled onto the track with Ryan Sullivan and Keith Moline starting on the front row. Sullivan led the field to green, with Weber quickly moving into second after passing a handful of cars. Weber pulled behind Sullivan, and brought Haese and Ross with him. A four-car battle for the race ensued before the yellow flew. A caution bunched the field up and the race for the lead got good. Sullivan remained in the lead off the restart, with Weber and Ross right on his back bumper. Weber could not find a way around, trying both the top and bottom at points.

Ryan Sullivan sailed to the win, picking up his second win of the weekend overall after a win Friday night in his street stock. Weber brought home his second consecutive second place finish, with Ross third. Ryan Mech finished fourth and Rob Maule brought home fifth.

Sullivan got awards from Rush Race Gear and Aero Race Wheels for the win. Cal Swenson was the Professional Plating and Rush Racegear hard charger. Dan Mech was awarded a gift from HMS Motorsport after his finishing position of nineteenth was drawn at the end of the night.

The Midwest Legends Dirt Series is back in action in two weeks time, with a show at Beaver Dam Raceway on June 7th. The following night, the series will be in action at Luxy Raceway. Both races can be watched on their respective streaming services.
