Seawright scores podium outing in Harold Hardgrove Memorial opener at Lake Cumberland Speedway

Looking for a quiet weekend with the tour, Sam Seawright made the trek to Lake Cumberland Speedway (Burnside, Ky.) on Friday afternoon for the first night of the Harold Hardgrove Memorial.

With 21 Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series Late Models on site, Seawright locked himself into the $5,000-to-win main event through qualifying and landed on the podium in third behind Jason Jameson and Josh Rice.

For Saturday's $15,000-to-win finale, Seawright started 13th in the 50-lap feature and moved forward seven positions to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.

Seawright is currently runner-up in the HTFSDS point standings.
