Josh Putnam takes on Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway
Traveling to Ohio on Thursday afternoon, Josh Putnam unloaded his Zippy Autos No. 212 at Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the 29th running of the Dirt Late Model Dream weekend.
With the massive 95-car field split into two groups, Putnam stopped the clock 21st-quick before finishing seventh in his heat race. With one more shot to make a prelim feature, Josh recorded a sixth-place outing in his Last Chance Showdown.
For another round of prelims on Friday, Josh qualified a bit better before falling back in his heat which once again relegated him to a LCS. Rolling off from the 12th-position, Putnam only made up one spot and was unable to transfer to either of Friday's prelim features.
For Saturday's $129,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream, Putnam gained four positions in his heat race to set him up on the fifth row of the LCS. Needing a Top-3 position to transfer to the main event, Josh was an early retiree on lap 3.
