Carson Ferguson finishes Illinois Speedweek with ninth-place outing at FALS

The Paylor Motorsports crew and their driver Carson Ferguson kicked off the five-day Illinois Speedweek on Tuesday afternoon at LaSalle (Ill.) Speedway among a huge field of 49 Super Late Models.

For the first FloRacing Night in America show on the week, Carson was not able to make the $20,000-to-win main event after a late flat tire in his heat race put him behind. Ferguson made the next two shows at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Ill.) and Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway, finishing 12th on Wednesday and 23rd on Thursday.

With the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioning the weekend events, Ferguson recorded a 20th-place finish in the Farmer City 74 on Friday before recording his best outing of the week at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway. On Saturday, Ferguson started fifth in the $30,000-to-win Spring Shootout and scored a Top-10 finish in ninth.
