Ferguson sixth in Show-Me 100 at Lucas Oil Speedway
Carson Ferguson unloaded his Coltman Farms Racing No. 93 machine at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) on Thursday afternoon as the Paylor Motorsports team kicked off the 33rd-annual Show-Me 100 weekend with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Among a strong field of just under 50 Super Late Models, Ferguson started ninth in the $10,000-to-win preliminary feature and kicked off the weekend with a sixth-place outing. In the following night's prelim, Carson made up two spots in his heat race and finished just one spot out of the Top-10 in the A-Main.
Ferguson locked himself into the finale on Saturday automatically and was slated to start from the sixth position. With $75,000 up for grabs in the 100-lapper, Carson ran as high as fourth but eventually settled in sixth when the checkered flag flew.
Ferguson currently rides ninth in the series point standings.
