Ryan Timms Returns to Victory Lane at Knoxville Raceway
Upcoming World of Outlaws Doubleheader to Highlight Weekend Schedule
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (05/28/25) – Ryan Timms’ partnership with Liebig Motorsports continues to yield impressive results, as the Oklahoma native captured his second 410 Sprint Car victory of the season at Knoxville Raceway over the weekend.
Timms guided the Hampel Oil / West River Trailer Sales & Service No. 10 Maxim Chassis, powered by Speedway Engine Development, to a $6,000 victory after withstanding early challenges from defending track champion Austin McCarl.
“My car was so good,” said Timms in Victory Lane. “It wasn’t easy. My hat’s off to my team (Liebig Racing #10). They put a ton of work in and they always give me a fast racecar. I’m really happy to be standing here right now. This one is for (the late) Sam Liebig and the whole Liebig family, and my thoughts go out to Bill Wagner and his family while he’s getting healed up. We got some redraw luck. Sometimes, you may want to be more lucky than good.”
Timms’ Memorial Day weekend got underway on Saturday with a return to Knoxville Raceway for Dennison Tees/Jersey Freeze Night.
Earning the pole position for the feature through a well-executed invert draw, Timms briefly relinquished the lead to Austin McCarl on the second circuit. However, he immediately countered in the following corner to regain command entering turns one and two. From there, the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma youngster led the remainder of the 20-lap affair to secure his second victory of the season, pocketing a $6,000 payday.
Sunday’s holiday weekend action continued at Huset’s Speedway, where Timms impressed with a fifth-to-second performance in his heat race. Unfortunately, his night ended prematurely with a lap-seven retirement in the feature.
Monday’s scheduled event at the South Dakota oval was ultimately canceled due to inclement weather.

Timms is gearing up for a three-race weekend through the Dakotas, beginning with World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series events on Friday at River Cities Speedway and Saturday at Red River Valley Speedway. The weekend concludes Sunday with an unsanctioned stop at Huset’s Speedway, where Timms looks to build on recent momentum.
