Sorensen picks up Top-5 finish with World of Outlaws at Farmer City Raceway
After getting rained out last weekend, Dustin Sorensen made the trek to Farmer City (Ill.) Raceway on Friday afternoon to join a 42-car field on site for the Ilini 100 weekend with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
Finishing 17th in the $12,000-to-win opener, Sorensen found more speed on Saturday evening as he ran runner-up in his heat race and earned a third-row starting position for the 60-lap finale. With a $20,000 payday on the line, Dustin raced to a Top-5 finish in fifth behind Brandon Sheppard, Bobby Pierce, Drake Troutman, and Brian Shirley.
Sorensen is currently 13th in the World of Outlaw points standings.
