Sorensen pulls double duty during Labor Day weekend at Deer Creek Speedway
With the Malvern Bank East and West Series close to home over Labor Day weekend, Dustin Sorensen made the short trip to Deer Creek Speedway (Spring Valley, Minn.) and competed in both the Super Late Model and Modified divisions.
Sorensen picked up a runner-up finish in the USRA Modified feature on Friday evening before a mechanical failure resulted in a DNF on Saturday.
In the Super Late Model ranks, Dustin picked up a podium finish in the $3,000-to-win opener as he finished behind Dylan Thornton and Jake Timm. Sorensen would close out the holiday weekend with a sixth-place outing in the $7,000-to-win finale.
