Bryan Bernheisel Claims Bedford Speedway’s Fast Friday Opener

Eyes Bedford Speedway Repeat This Friday

JONESTOWN, Pa. (04/23/25) – Bryan Bernheisel kicked off his Easter weekend in impressive fashion with a flag-to-flag triumph in Friday’s event Bedford Speedway aboard his Bernheisel Race Components / Pioneer Pole Buildings No. 119 Tools Etc. / Uglies Kettle Cooked Chips / Lazer Chassis Late Model.

The victory marked his third career triumph at the half-mile oval, moving him one win ahead of his father, Jim Bernheisel, on the all-time wins list at the Pennsylvania track.

"What a great way to start the year picking up a win this early,” Bernheisel said in victory lane. “The competition in the northeast is so tough, it's hard to get wins. We worked really hard on a new design frame over the winter and it paid off. Thanks to all our sponsors who make this possible."

Both Bernheisel Racing pilots were in action Friday night in their home state of Pennsylvania, as Bryan Bernheisel took on the season’s first Fast Friday Night event at Bedford Speedway, while Jim Bernheisel made his 2025 debut at Selinsgrove Speedway.

Amongst 22 Late Models at Bedford, Bryan vaulted into the feature with a fourth-to-second showing in his heat. Starting on the pole, Bernheisel kept a threatening Alex Ferre at bay for all 25 laps to claim the early season victory, his first of the season.

“This one means a lot,” Bernheisel added. “I want to dedicate this win to my sister-in-law, who’s been courageously battling leukemia over the past year. She’s a true fighter. To celebrate this moment with her and the rest of my family, it’s a pretty special moment for everyone up here.”

While Bryan was in action at Bedford, over 100 miles away at Selinsgrove Speedway, Jim Bernheisel qualified fourth-fastest in his group and went on to finish fourth in his heat race. Battling for a $5,000 payday in the main event, he recovered from a rough start to record a 13th-place finish.

Bryan’s weekend concluded on Saturday night with a B-Main exit at Port Royal Speedway. His bid into the $4,000-to-win A-Main fell short with a seventh-place outing in his consolation race.

The Bernheisel Racing team is still finalizing its weekend schedule, but one stop is confirmed: Bryan Bernheisel will return to Bedford Speedway on Friday, aiming for back-to-back wins.
